Update (March 27, 2020)

Dear Fort Bend Community Church Family,

Wednesday night there were 175 accounts logged into Zoom for our church-wide prayer meeting, our largest prayer meeting to date. We split into small groups and prayed together as a church.  Praise the Lord!

During our prayer meeting it came to our attention that through third-hand knowledge, a brother or sister in Christ, who is part of our church has a confirmed case of COVID-19.  Since that time, the church staff has tried to confirm this case, but we are unable to do so.  I want to emphasize, we CANNOT confirm this case. This individual has chosen not to disclose who they are and the church does not know when they were last on our campus for worship. We do, however, believe that this individual has not been on our campus in the last 20 days, the last time we met in person at church was March 8th.  Since over 14 days have passed since our last in-person worship gathering and no other positive COVID-19 cases have been reported, our leadership is hopeful that there is no community spread at this time.  It would not be productive or helpful to worry about or speculate as to who this brother or sister is or what small group/fellowship they belong to.  The staff is working as a team to address any COVID-19 cases, confirmed or unconfirmed, that are tied to persons who attend FBCC.

On another note, in preparation for a possible further lockdown of our county and city, we need your help to get over 1,000 subscribers on Youtube so our pastors can continue to live-stream worship services from their homes. Click here to subscribe.

Again, please let your congregational pastor know how to care for you. We know that staying at home can be challenging for a variety of reasons. We are here for you and want to care for you, in the name of Christ our Savior.

With blessing and mercy,

Pastor Samuel Kwan, on behalf of the FBCC COVID-19 Response Team.

Update (March 25, 2020)

Dear Fort Bend Community Church Family,

As you already know, Fort Bend County and the surrounding counties issued a stay-at-home order.  If you’re not an essential worker, you’re making the best of your work-from-home situation. If you are an essential worker, you may be going to your job in hear. Amid all this change I hold tightly to scripture.  Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” May we never forget that God is with us in the good and bad.

We are following the stay-at-home order at church.  The church is closed and all staff are working from home until April 3rd.  We have spent hundreds of man-hours deep-cleaning, sanitizing and preparing for the church’s reopening. We don’t want you to be concerned about your health when you come to church.

We are grateful that the stay home order allows us to continue our streaming service.  We have a small group of volunteers who are eager to serve you while we worship at home.  Please continue to worship with us online each Sunday. Click here for Sunday Worship. Please consider tithing online. Click here to tithe online.

As I mentioned last week, we will be transparent with you throughout this time. I would like to report to you that no congregant, attendee or visitor of FBCC has a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 as of this date.

Thank you for your continued support of the church during this time. Our food fair this past weekend was a huge success.  Within two hours, fifty seven volunteers, served over two hundred families and distributed 9,500 lbs. of fresh food.

Please let your congregational Pastor know how to care for you. We know that staying at home can be very challenging for a variety of reasons. We are here for you and want to care for you, in the name of Christ our Savior

With blessing and mercy,

Pastor Samuel Kwan, on behalf of the FBCC COVID-19 Response Team.
